Years in the Industry? 13+
Why do you want to serve on the TWHBEA National Board? I feel that with my knowledge, experience and understanding of the Walking Horse Industry, I can contribute to the betterment of our association.
Personal Background:My family have been active in the breeding and exhibiting of our wonderful breed for over 13 years. My involvement with the TWH has led me to several leadership positions on both the local and national level. I have served on the TWHBEA Pleasure Horse Board for a 3-year period and 6-years on subcommittees for TWHBEA, including Promotion and Trail Riding. On the local level, I served 2 terms as President of the Mountain States TWH Breeders Association. I was also responsible for the publishing of our local monthly newsletter for 4 years. My commitment to the TWH is more than a part-time hobby, it is my passion. When not in TN or at a local show, my husband and I are spending all of our spare time at the barn with the “babies” or trail riding. We truly love riding our beautiful TWH’s in the scenic Utah mountains.
Other Comments: I believe that directors are elected to represent the membership and to listen and seek input from their membership. It is important that your representative be up to date on all current issues that are confronting our breed. With farms in both Utah and Tennessee, I know that my TN contacts will help contribute to my understanding of the issues that are important to the Utah constituency. I pledge to you that, if elected, I will attend all meetings held in Tennessee and to represent Utah in an honorable and diligent manner.
