Why do you want to serve on the TWHBEA National Board? We need a Board that will listen to everyone, and work for everyone, and not just a Board that has their own agenda in mind.
A little about myself: I am involved in all aspects of the Walking Horse. I show, trail ride, have 2 breeding stallions, and raise and sell foals. I have won 13 World Championships with padded horses, and also Versatility
Championships with pleasure horses. My family currently owns 26 Tennessee Walking Horses. I have been showing through years of various turmoil, including divisions of various groups in the early 80"s, and pads and chains pulled in the early 90's. I'm one of those that have "been there, done that". TWHBEA has caused our breed to become the laughing stock of all breeds. The registry is suppose to promote our breed, not condone it. The financial stability of the Association has got to be restored. We must restore integrity in our Association. Our Association is the backbone of the industry. We need to implement a much needed "PR" division in our Association that works, and with this registrations will increase, memberships will increase, and transfers will increase, helping with the financial stability. We need to work to get IPEDS back on schedule. I have numerous people that will try to
look up Show records on a horse I am selling, to only find there isn't one. Then you have to explain why it doesn't show up on IPEDS.
