Why do you want to serve on the TWHBEA National Board? I believe that every TWHBEA member deserves a voice in their association. New and objective views are needed for the continued existence of TWHBEA. The Association needs to be an association for all disciplines, and I believe that I can help to make that happen.
A little about myself: My life in Tennessee Walking Horses (TWH) began around 1970, when my dad, Valton Rummage, took me to my first Celebration. The rest is history. My husband, Wayne Dean, is a trainer, Walking Horse Trainers' Association Board of Director and TWHBEA Executive Vice President of Training. Our lives have been intertwined with the TWH for almost forty years. All TWH disciplines are enjoyed by our family: breeding, halter colts, pleasure/trail riding, as well as our performance horses. My involvement with the TWH spans four decades and many facets: two time past president and 2002-2003 Member of the
Year of the Walking Horse Trainers' Auxiliary, TWHBEA certified Level 1 Riding Instructor, TWHBEA Board of Director in 2001-2002, secretary of the Marshall County Horseman's Association Horse Show since 2002, Walking Horse Trainers' Association Friendship Award winner, WHOA member, and TWHBEA member continuously since 1987. If experience and knowledge of the industry, honesty and forthrightness are necessary qualifications for election to the Board, you can vote for me with confidence.
